every year this day comes around but this mothers day is a bit different for me. i always have my mother to thank for being the worlds greatest but this mothers day I have my Jessica to thank for being...well, beautiful.
I won't bore you with the silly details that go along with being a parent...you know, changing diapers or feeding in the middle of the night, making sure the diaper bag is properly packed, the car seat is locked up securely, and so on. all that comes with practice and patience. what I will tell you is that the love my wife has for our son is 2nd to none. that watching her give him a simple hug sometimes makes you want to cry. that instead of hanging out with friends you rather watch her play airplane with wolf. by the way, when she brings him in for his landing and she holds him tight...oh man, I feel myself getting choked up now...is one of the greatest moments I get to witness. I have to admit...I get a bit jealous at times but it doesn't last for long. my Jess is special...she's filled with so much love and she has more than enough for me and wolf.
I know I'm a lucky man...I knew it the day I married her. now, our son gets to realize how lucky he is. not a day will go by that I won't remind him how beautiful his mom is. how any problem that may arise can be solved by one of her hugs. I love my Jessica. We are only nearing the 6 month mark of wolf being here with us...I have no doubt that the love she has for wolf will only continue to grow and that those hugs will be a constant reminder to wolf about how beautiful our Jessica really is.
